This notice solicits grant applications seeking to advance the nation’s goal of improving health outcomes for people living with disabilities through enhanced or innovative care. This includes health services research and interventions to reduce disparities in the quality of care, increase patient safety, improve health care access and effectiveness, and ultimately improve health outcomes for people with disabilities.

Special Emphasis Notice: AHRQ Announces Interest in Health Services Research to Improve Care Delivery, Access, Quality, Equity, and Health Outcomes for Older Adults (Open until May 15, 2027)

This notice solicits grant applications that seek to advance the nation’s goal of improving care delivery, access, quality, equity, and health outcomes for older adults by addressing questions related to the development, implementation, evaluation, and scale of person-centered models of care and thus optimizing the physical and mental health, functional status, and well-being of older adults.

Special Emphasis Notice: AHRQ Announces Interest in Research to Improve Treatment and Management of Menopause Symptoms (open until December 20, 2027)

This Special Emphasis Notice (SEN) informs the research community of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality’s (AHRQ) strong and continued interest in receiving health services research grant applications which focus on improving the diagnosis, treatment, and management of perimenopause and menopausal symptoms (i.e., menopause-transition (MT) and menopause-related chronic conditions (such as, but not limited to: osteoporosis, cardiovascular disease, and diabetes) to help improve women's health outcomes.
