Better Hearing Institute
Hearing health is an important component of women's health. Not only does it affect a woman's quality of life and well being, but it also affects how well she communicates with her health care professionals. That's why the Better Hearing Institute is celebrating National Women's Health Week and National Women's Checkup Day — to educate women about how to address hearing loss and how to preserve hearing health. The organization is reaching out to its network of nearly 20,000 audiologists and other hearing health care professionals, encouraging them to organize hearing screenings, host health fairs, disseminate women's health information, issue a press release, send information through listservs, and include the National Women's Health Week banner on their web sites. In addition, the Better Hearing Institute will issue a press release and link to the National Women's Health Week web site. For more information about the Better Hearing Institute, please visit http://www.betterhearing.org.
