Continuing Medical Education and Continuing Education Units

Free Continuing Medical Education credit is available for physicians and nurses.
Interactive modules and a slide set on Medscape®, which provides CME/CEU credit for completing them.
Four one hour interactive modules are available about the following topics:

  1. An Ounce of Prevention Is Worth a Pound of Cure—Strategies for Cardiovascular Disease Risk Assessment in Women – In a test and teach format, the authors present strategies for assessing risk factors for and primary prevention of CHD in women.
  2. Primary Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease for Women with Multiple Risk Factors – Learn the preventive guidelines for women patients at risk for CHD, including lifestyle and pharmacological approaches.
  3. Risk Reduction for Women with Known Coronary Heart Disease – Identify and modify risk factors for female patients with established CHD.
  4. Diagnosing Heart Disease in Women Can Be a Pain in the Neck! – Recognize variations in CHD symptom presentation in women and focus on educating patients about the warning signs of stroke and heart attack.
