This fact sheet discusses diabetes insipidus, (DI) a condition which is characterized by excretion of large amounts of dilute urine which disrupts the body's water regulation. Discusses the four types of DI and the tests required for diagnosis. DI is NOT a form of diabetes mellitus (type I or II).
