Genome-wide association studies (GWAS) rely on newly available research tools and technologies to analyze genetic differences between people with specific illnesses, as compared to healthy individuals. Combining research results into one freely accessible, centralized repository would improve understanding of a wide range of diseases and treatments, while reducing costs.
