Mission Statement

To increase knowledge regarding LGBT populations' health status, access to and utilization of health care, and other health-related information. • To increase LGBT participation in the formation of public and private sector policy regarding health and related issues. • To increase availability of, access to, and quality of physical, mental, and behavioral health and related services for the LGBT population. • To increase professional and cultural competencies of providers and others engaged in health and social service delivery to the LGBT population. • To eliminate disparities in health outcomes of LGBT populations and the community including differences that occur by gender, race/ethnicity, education or income, disability, nationality, geographic location, age, sexual orientation, gender identity or presentation.
