Mission Statement

Our mission is to advance organ availability and transplantation by uniting and supporting our communities for the benefit of patients through education, technology and policy development. The UNOS community includes: surgeons, physicians, nurses, technicians and other professionals who specialize in donation and transplantation transplant candidates and recipients; organ donors and their families; friends and families of transplant patients; healthcare volunteers; members of the general public who support donation and transplantation; more than 250 dedicated UNOS employees.
