Mission Statement

The mission of the National Health Service Corps is to increase access to primary care services for people in health professional shortage areas by assisting in the development, recruitment, and retention of community- responsive, culturally competent primary care providers. A unique group of dedicated and caring clinicians provide primary health care to adults and children in the communities of greatest need across the Nation.
