Mission Statement

Since its beginning, a major thrust of NBNA has been to increase the number of African American nurses in the nursing profession and to promote their professional development. Each year, the Association and its chapters have provided thousands of dollars in scholarships to students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs. Additionally, during its annual institutes and conferences and educational forums, NBNA has made major contributions to the professional development of the membership.
